Osutchi & Mesutchi Tama Log #2 |
This is my second Osutchi & Mesutchi log, sharing my adventure with the 2nd generation of Osu/Mesu. This is a continuation of the Log #1 with Blueberry & Cherry; in fact, these are their kids! From a beach trip, to being stranded in a rainstorm, both Brittany and I had lots of fun raising these tamas. We hope you enjoy the log :D
We officially named them Seashell & Coral. We are trying to stick to a "blue and pink" naming system because we are using the Blue and Pink shells. Since we are planning to go to the beach, we wanted to name them under a beach-theme. Brittany decided to name hers Coral (Mesutchi), and I decided to name mine Seashell (Osutchi). We are excited to grow this new generation and see what they grow into.
P.S. I had some great resources and guides to help raise these tamas on sites like Mimitchi.com and Osutchi & Mesutchi Wiki.
3:27PM: Brittany (my girlfriend) and I left to eat lunch with my mom at a nice pub today. The food was good; I ordered some spicy boneless wings and we had some tasty chips n queso. Yum yum! Shortly after, we headed over to Brittany's mom's RV park to drink, chat, and enjoy a nice day out.
The weather is crisp, there's a nice breeze, and the sky is sunny. Brittany's mom's dogs are enjoying the day out in the RV park. Chance (white dog) and Cable (brown dog) are basking in the sun. At this point, I realized I wanted to begin caring for the new generation of Tamas. I discussed with Brittany what we should name them and I thought an ocean theme would be cool. I named the Osutchi Seashell, and Brittany named her Mesutchi Coral :) Super cute names!!!
I started Seashell (boy) and Coral (girl) today!!! They are two little black dot babies bouncing around the screen. They both started at 1yr, 4/4 hunger, 4/4 happiness, 0 discipline. Seashell is 20lbs and Coral is 27lbs. I need to play some games with them soon, they are fat babies lol.

We are going to drive back home soon, so I took some cute photos of them in the RV park together, their first day will be a grand adventure! :D
UPDATE: Later this day, life happened and I decided to pause the babies until I could properly care for them. There will be a time skip in this log (April 24th) but the Day # will remain in chronological order.
12:33PM: I decided to unpause the kids finally... They were sitting at the table in the living room for about two weeks; life was busy and I think I needed a break from the tamas. I logged nearly every action in the first log, and I think I was a little burnt out! But here I am, I really want to continue log #2 so here goes :)
They are both still babies. Their stats are 4/4 hunger, 4/4 happiness, 25% discipline, and both are 58lbs. I think somewhere on day 1 after I ended logging, I fed them a bunch of snacks to quickly care for them. I made them super fat and disciplined both of them at one point. I'm going to focus on weight loss soon.
I'm currently on my way to help Brittany take her car in for a maintenance check-up, then followed by her eye exam, and then even more chores! It's been a busy day for us so I figured I'd bring the new babies along :) Depending on how busy today gets, I may or may not log what happens.
8:38PM: Soooo I fell asleep from 4:00PM - 8:00PM. I got home after doing chores and was exhausted to the point of crashing on the couch. When I woke up, I saw that Seashell and Coral were both asleep. More surprisingly, they looked bigger! They look like little round black blobs sleeping under their blankets hehe. I turned the lights out and wished them a good night's rest.
4:00AM: Today, Brittany and I are traveling to the beach! We have had this trip planned for a couple of weeks, so we left this Sunday morning at 4:00AM. It's about a 2.5 hour drive to the beach, so we decided to head out early for a good day. We brought the babies, Seashell & Coral, since they would love the beach. I mean, their names are based on the ocean obviously :P
10:06AM: We set up our beach area with our chairs, towels, and umbrella. When I had a few minutes to relax, I decided to look at the babies since I hadn't cared for them last night or today so far. I had kept them in the car to avoid getting them dirty with sand, so I couldn't hear any attention calls they had.
When I checked on them, they both were completely hungry and unhappy :( They both about 2 poops each which I cleaned up. I took a few good pics as well! Brittany had this cool idea to place them on the pages of her herbal medicine book to use as a photo background hehe. After the care and photoshoot, I put them back in the car while we enjoyed the beach so they don't get too sandy or sunburnt!
11:58AM: It's nearly lunchtime. I checked up on the kids again. They both were at 1/4 hunger and happiness. I promptly played a few games and fed them. Now is the perfect time for beach pics!
12:44PM: Since it's lunchtime, Brittany asked if I could grab us some food from Whataburger. If you aren't from Texas, you are missing out; and if you ever visit Texas, Whataburger is a must-see restaurant! Their burgers are delicious and it's an awesome fast-food burger place. Anyway, I hopped in the car and left for Whataburger while Brittany kept our spot at the beach. While waiting in the Whataburger drive-thru line, I took some pictures of the Tamas. This will be their first time eating Whataburger so I HAD to get a pic!
After waiting in line, I returned to the beach to eat with Brittany. We ate our food and within 45 minutes decided to leave the beach. It had already been a long day and we were satisfied with the fun we had. We packed up and left for home.
4:34PM: On the way home, both Seashell & Coral called for discipline. We were about 25 minutes away from home. I safely disciplined them.
8:00PM: Both of the kids beeped since it was bedtime. As soon as Brittany and I made it home, we fell asleep from exhaustion. The beach wears us out a lot, and I'm sure it did the kids as well. I didn't check on their hunger or happiness and simply turned their lights off. Good night kids, I'll see you in the morning!
9:14AM: I have been super busy with work this morning. I had a ton of trade rejects to process (I work in the mutual fund trading industry). When I finished my tasks, I checked up on Seashell & Coral. I looked at Coral first and noticed that she was starving and sad :( She pooped herself as well. Oddly, I didn't hear her beep because they were both next to me the entire morning. They were likely this way last night while going to bed.
Anyway, I fed her and played a few games. I noticed that I have been neglecting them a lot... Coral is just over 60lbs, a little chunky. Seashell is just under 60lbs, so I need to care for them both. I plan on having them both work out to lose that extra weight. After caring for Coral, I cared for Seashell as well.
9:56AM: Coral just called for discipline. Seashell has yet to, but he is usually late a few minutes anyway. So I disciplined her and started focusing on work again. It's been a busy day, and I haven't focused on the Tamas as much as I would like.
10:10AM: Seashell just called for discipline. It seems there is around 14-15 minutes of delay between the discipline calls now, likely due to pausing. Oh well. They are both at 75% discipline though!
12:41PM: Coral called for attention. She needed discipline so I disciplined her. She's now at 100%! I saw that both of the kids were 1/4 hunger and happy, so I filled them up on my way home from lunch with Brittany. We got Taco Cabana :P The kids sat at the table while Brittany and I ate.
12:55PM: Just 14 minutes after Coral, Seashell called for discipline. He's at 100% as well.
3:27PM: Coral called for attention AGAIN! They are sooo needy for attention today. I disciplined her even though she is 100% discipline. I also checked her hunger and happiness, she needed 2 meals and 3 games to cheer her up :)
6:40PM: After spending some time with Brittany, I looked at Seashell & Coral and saw that they evolved into teens!!! They are the Piroriroritchi & Pirorintchi teens. They look like little Christmas trees lol. I can't say they are my favorite characters... I hope they turn into cute adults.
Before wrapping up the night and sending them to bed, I fed them, played games, and turned their lights out. Good night babies! They grow up so fast :')
11:34AM: I decided to head out for some lunch. I brought the kids with me and I'm in my car right now caring for them. It's a dreary/gloomy day, but I'm optimistic I'll care for them well. They were 2/4 hunger and 1/4 happiness. I still haven't gone through a weight loss phase so they are both in the mid 50lbs... I just need to spam the games while I'm not paying attention.
1:45PM: One of my old friends, Ben, invited me to play Rocket League and talk on Discord. I haven't talked with him in several months so I enjoyed being able to catch up. While playing Rocket League (in the middle of competitive gameplay), Coral beeped for attention. Unfortunately, I didn't put down my controller in the middle of the games and I missed caring for her. This means she has another care mistake which may contribute to getting an unhealthy adult character :( I really hope the adults are cute.
2:06PM: Seashell hasn't beeped yet, that I know of. Presumably, I missed his call for discipline as well, so I may have given him another care mistake as well.
4:19PM: Uh oh! I was in a Zoom meeting with my team for work. I'd been stuck in Zoom meetings from 2:00PM to now and I am drained! During my call, both Seashell & Coral called for attention. I muted my Zoom so no one could hear their beeps hehe. Sneaky. I disciplined them and fed them. They were really hungry and unhappy, but I couldn't play games, so I gave them a few snacks instead. The meeting ended shortly after. I'm really exhausted from today, but I've been caring for the Tamas as best as I could.
11:34AM: I didn't log much in the evening, but I know I cared for one discipline call and one call for happiness from both Seashell & Coral. They are currently asleep and I turned off their lights. Their stats are the following: -Seashell: 2/4 hunger, 0/4 happy, 50% discipline, 60 lbs, 6 yrs -Coral: 2/4 hunger, 2/4 happy, 50% discipline, 56lbs, 6yrs
INSERT STATS TABLE HERE11:34AM:
9:14AM: I've had a bit of a crazy morning. My AC hasn't worked since last night so I've been stressed about that, my work is busy this morning and I'm in a slight daze. I nearly slept through my alarms before work. I just feel... out of it.
Come 9:14AM, I glimpsed at the Tamas and saw that they awoke. They had the same stats as last night, so I made sure to fill them up and make them happy.
2:45PM: I decided to head out to Whataburger for lunch today. This is the second time Seashell & Coral have had Whataburger :P I watched them dance around the screen as I enjoyed my lunch. I had them laid out on the table as I ate, listened to a podcast, and relaxed. They seem happy today.
4:32PM: I have checked up on them frequently today and caught them at 1/4 hearts a few times. I have been caring for them before they call for attention so it's been uneventful today. However, I did take a few minutes to help them lose weight. I got them down from 65lbs to 50lbs :) I need to do that some more before they evolve into adults.
9:00PM: I didn't log much today since nothing exciting happened. Seashell & Coral went to sleep so I turned their lights off for the night.
10:05AM: Their current stats right now are the following: -Seashell: 2/4 hunger, 2/4 happiness, 50% discipline, 45lbs, 8 yrs -Coral: 2/4 hunger, 2/4 happiness, 50% discipline, 45lbs, 8 yrs
INSERT STATS TABLE HEREThe first thing I noticed this morning is that they were muted! I don't remember muting them so I may have missed a discipline call or two :( I think they will evolve into adults today, and they are only at 50% discipline... I suspect they will evolve into the "poor health" adults. Poo.
Anyway, I cleaned their single poop, fed them, played a few games to lower their weight to 40, and will leave them be for now.
Just a side note, Seashell & Coral are bizarre-looking! They look funky when they eat, they have these little alien-like arms as they munch the food lol. They are interesting to look at but still weird-looking. (Don't tell them I said that!)
12:14PM: It's just passing lunchtime but I haven't had the chance to eat. I'm taking an introductory course to SQL coding for work from 12-4PM. It's a bit of a drag :| I'm glad I have Seashell & Coral to keep me company.
I checked up on them (they haven't called for attention today). They both had 2/4 hunger and happiness, so I played a few games and fed them. Maybe I can help them lose weight during this course hehe.
10:45PM: So it's been a long, long day. I took a 4 hour SQL coding lab, worked the other 4 hours, drove to Brittany's mom's for dinner, and just finally arrived home. I'm exhausted.
I pulled out Seashell & Coral and noticed that they both evolved into adults. I'll describe it a bit more tomorrow, but they are the little blackbird-looking adults. Since it's past their bedtime, they are sound asleep. It looks like Coral is sick and has poops, whereas Seashell just has poops but is not sick. I'll make sure to care for them both in the morning; tomorrow is going to be busy as well... Anyhow, I know this part of the log isn't super positive. I have been busy this week and it's taking a bit of a toll on me. That being said, I want to enjoy my next few days with Seashell & Coral before Brittany and I breed them and raise the next generation :) Good night for now!
10:20AM: I checked up on Seashell & Coral and they were awake! This is the first time I have seen them as adults :) It looks like they are the Billotchi & Billkotchi. They are kind of cute... they look like little penguins. However, they also have these teeth which aren't appealing lol. Cute but slightly ugly! Nevertheless, I'm so happy for Seashell & Coral! They are finally all grown up :)
INSERT ADULT GIFS HEREWe plan to breed them soon to go to the next generation, we can't wait! I want to document all of it as best as I can.
12:25PM: Both Seashell & Coral called for discipline within a couple of minutes. This time, Seashell called for attention before Coral... it's strange since Seashell was always about 14 minutes behind Coral. Interesting! Anyway, I disciplined them and they are now at 75% discipline.
8:51PM: Two times today Seashell & Coral became grumpy! They appear at the bottom of the screen with the little anger "fumes" above their head. This is an interesting feature... It seems they will not eat meals, and you can't fill their hunger/happiness meters. I found that the only way to cure it is by playing a game or feeding them a snack, however, the meal/game won't fill a happy heart it only cures their anger. After that, you can play fill their hunger/happiness meters. I'm a little confused as to what causes it. Sometimes they are completely empty on happiness when it happens, and sometimes they aren't. I assumed it would only occur when their happiness meter is empty but I might be wrong.
Anyhow, Brittany took care of them while I went to the gym to work out. It's a rainy day today, we are getting flash flood warnings around the city. It's currently dark out, I can hear the rain beating against the roof of our house as I sit typing this log in the living room. Both Seashell & Coral are by my side, dancing around their screens. I think this is their first thunderstorm ever, so they'll have an interesting story to tell their little tama babies :) In addition, Brittany and I ordered take-out from WingStop and are currently waiting at home as they are cooking our meal. We will head out soon and I'll be sure to bring the tamas with me. Here's an update on their stats right now: -Seashell: 3/4 hunger, 3/4 happy, 75% discipline, 33lbs, 9 yrs -Coral: 3/4 hunger, 3/4 happy, 75% discipline, 37lbs, 9 yrs
INSERT STATS TABLE HERE10:00PM: I'm eating dinner at the dinner table. Seashell & Coral beeped. When I looked at their screens, they were both tucked away under their cute beds. Good night you two!
10:35AM: It's a gloomy morning today, the storm from last night still hasn't left. I had an eye exam scheduled for this morning at 8:30AM since I haven't had one in years. I didn't bring the tamas along since they were asleep at the time, but they were awake by the time I came back home. Long story short, my eyes are healthy but I'm becoming nearsighted. Oh no...!
We have an appointment to see a Doberman adoption center in another town about an hour away at noon today. Brittany really wants a dog, especially a Doberman. We are heading out soon and I plan to bring the tamas with me :)
Anyway, Seashell & Coral both were at 1/4 hunger and happy, so I fed them 3 meals and played games on each. I played 3 on Seashell, but 4 on Coral because I failed one of the games so I had to play another.
Aside from that, today is the day where Brittany and I will have Seashell & Coral finally mate. I can't wait to see the cute babies they have!
12:20PM: Brittany and I are stuck at a gas station in the town since it's raining hard. Some of the roads were already flooded and prevented us from driving, so we drove to the nearest gas station and waited for the rain to calm down. We decided this would be a good time to mate Seashell & Coral.
Brittany cared for them before pairing them. We popped off their caps, connected them, and began the connection!
12:30PM: Seashell & Coral officially have kids!!! They look like little black orbs with legs and big ears hopping around the screen. This is my favorite baby so far :) I'm sure Blueberry & Cherry would love to see their grandkids... I'm sure they would be proud.
I know that Seashell & Coral will leave us in the coming days, but I'll share the remainder of their lives till the next generation. I hope you are enjoying this log so far, please stay tuned!
10:45AM: Brittany woke up around 8AM but I slept in. When I woke up I saw that Seashell, Coral, and their babies were not in good condition. The babies were sick, there was a poop for each, and they were completely unhappy and 2/4 hungry. I was a little grumpy with Brittany since she could have cared for them in the morning... Oh well, I quickly cared for them and they are doing a lot better.
11:33AM: Today, I am meeting my mom for lunch and we are going to a gun show. She wants to potentially buy herself a gun for self-defense, so she asked me if I would go with her. I agreed and we are heading there soon. I'm bringing the tamas with me so I can watch over them. I mean, I couldn't trust Brittany earlier today :P (Just kidding! If you read this, I love you, Brittany!) I'll try to keep this updated throughout the day.
12:44PM: My mom and I arrived at the gun show. Rather than having the tamas inside my pocket the whole time, I left them in her vehicle. I cared for them before I left so they wouldn't starve while I was gone.
2:50PM: I finally left the gun show! My mom purchased a handgun for self-defense. When we left the show, the tamas were almost completely hungry and unhappy; they had poops as well. It's a good thing I cared for them before I left. I'm returning home for the remainder of the day and will relax for most of it.
7:00PM: Shortly after coming home I fell asleep; I needed a nap from all the excitement of a gun show. There was a lot of stimulation and since I'm a natural introvert, I needed plenty of rest to recharge. I remember vaguely waking up to the beeps of Seashell & Coral in the other room, but I sadly forgot to care for them since I fell back asleep :(
9:50PM: Sometime between now and the previous update, I cared for the tamas. On the off chance this might be the last time I see Seashell & Coral, I took note of their stats: -Seashell: 4/4 hunger, 2/4 happiness, 75% discipline, 44lbs, 11 yrs -Coral: 4/4 hunger, 2/4 happiness, 75% discipline, 50lbs, 11 yrs
INSERT STATS TABLE HERE10:00PM: It's finally bedtime for the tamas. I worry that I might not see Seashell & Coral tomorrow, so I took a photo of them just in case. I've had such a fun time with them and they've been great companions :)
10:00AM: Seashell & Coral beeped exactly at 10AM as they woke up! They had 2/4 hunger and 0/4 happiness so I fed them and played a few games.
11:31AM: Seashell & Coral are both still here! I'm super happy they are still with us :D
12:31PM: I noticed both of the babies were sick. Their tiny skulls were floating above them. I promptly cured their ailment. I noticed that there is almost always poop when the adults have babies with them... Seriously, the babies are almost always covered in poop whenever I check them. It's a bit frustrating.
5:43PM: It's been a while since I ended work today (5PM). I noticed that the babies were sick again, so I cured them again. I'm shocked at how often they get sick. To add to that, poops were covering the babies again; As I said earlier, I'm getting frustrated with all the poops >.<
11:56PM: It's nearly midnight, I didn't care for them most of the night because I spent some quality time with Brittany tonight, we have been missing that. When I checked on the tamas, Seashell & Coral left their kids :( Earlier was the last time we would ever see them. I believe they passed away at 12 years old officially, they lived a much longer life than their parents (Blueberry & Cherry).
I'm a bit sad that Seashell & Coral passed, but I'm relieved that we gave them the best life we could. I think I'll let the babies sleep tonight and will pause them tomorrow.
9:07AM: The babies finally woke up at 9AM. I spent most of my morning working, but I made sure to check on them when they woke up. I don't think I'm ready to care for this new generation just yet. I want to take some time to relax before caring for them. Logging their lives, albeit fun, is also a lot of effort! I generally keep a notepad on my computer that I update throughout the day, but when I'm not at my computer I take notes on my phone. It can become time-consuming, but I'm happy with all I've accomplished so far.
I still plan to care for the 3rd generation and log their lives as well. Brittany and I have yet to name the babies, so I think we will cross that bridge when I resume their care.
If you have made it to the end of this log, I am so grateful that you took the time to read through it and share the experience of raising a TMP2 Generation 2 Osutchi & Mesutchi. I hope you enjoyed my log and how I log my tamas. This will never be about the views, but will be about sharing my love of Tamagotchis with others. Please stay tuned for my next Osutchi & Mesutchi log, I will post it as soon as I run the 3rd generation.
Again, thank you so much for reading, I hope you all have a fantastic day! Please check out my other pages on my website for more Tamagotchi logs, photos, and more.
